CASFarm — the climate-smart agriculture brand within the CAS ecosystem — has been selected for the Top 24 of FutureGen for Change (FGC), a sustainability collaboration initiative between Pijar Foundation and the UK-Indonesia Tech Hub, following its participation in the FGC Open Day held in Jakarta on 17/09/2026.

FutureGen for Change brings together innovative projects developing technology solutions for Indonesia's most pressing urban sustainability challenges, and is now expanding collaboration across Southeast Asia. CASFarm's selection to the Top 24 recognizes the circular, climate-smart agriculture model it pursues, while opening opportunities to connect with a regional network of partners, investors, and innovation-support organizations.
On 17/09/2026, CASFarm's representative attended the second day of the FGC Open Day at Pijar Foundation, Jakarta, focused on business model sustainability and impact measurement. After a recap of lessons from the first day (engagement with city government), the competing teams continued with expert Masterclasses on Business Sustainability for Innovation and the Business Sustainability Lab, exploring how to build models that create public value while remaining viable beyond the pilot or initial funding stage.

The program also devoted significant attention to impact measurement: through the Impact Measurement & Evidence-Based Decision Making masterclass, competing teams — including CASFarm — were guided on how to move beyond measuring outputs to answer a more fundamental question: what real change their solution is creating. From there, each team redefined the outcomes that matter, the data to collect, and how these insights support decision-making when scaling up.
The FGC Open Day closed with a Curated Matchmaking session, creating space for startups to connect with potential partners and continue collaboration conversations beyond the program. Across the two days, the competing teams revisited four readiness dimensions together: government engagement, partnership readiness, business sustainability, and impact measurement.

Being named to the FGC Top 24 marks a milestone in CASFarm's journey to expand its international network, while reaffirming the systems-thinking, climate-smart direction that CAS pursues across all four of its service lines — Renewable Energy, Climate-Smart Agriculture, Greening & Ecological Services, and Smart Grid & Grid Connection — toward the goal of creating shared value for People & Planet.
Within the CAS ecosystem, CASFarm leads the Climate-Smart Agriculture service line, delivered through three main pillars: Smart-Precision Farming (precision agriculture using sensors and data to optimize cultivation), Urban Rooftop Farming, and Circular AgriSolar Farm (a model combining agriculture and solar power in a circular approach). This is the very model CASFarm presented at the FGC Open Day, and one of the reasons the team was highly rated for both practical applicability and its potential to scale to other markets in the region. Following the program, CASFarm plans to continue working with the partner network of Pijar Foundation and the UK-Indonesia Tech Hub to refine its business model, preparing for the next steps on the FutureGen for Change journey.
