Climate-smart Agriculture

Under the FAO framework, climate-smart agriculture must achieve three objectives at once. CASFarm delivers all three on a single piece of land:

• Sustainably higher yields and income — farm output is maintained, with an added revenue stream from solar power
• Adaptation and resilience — the panel canopy shades against harsh sun, cuts evaporation and keeps root-zone temperatures stable through the dry season
• Lower emissions — clean on-site power replaces grid electricity, and organic waste becomes fertiliser and biogas instead of being released into the environment

Circular Farming

Nothing leaves as waste: livestock waste becomes fertiliser and biogas, water from the aquaculture system irrigates the garden, and by-products return as inputs.

AgriSolar

One piece of land, two streams of value: solar power fed to the grid and crops harvested underneath — no trading farmland away for energy.

Smart Farming

The whole farm is one connected system, run on automation built in-house by CAS — people set the targets and the system adjusts itself in real time.

• Greenhouse climate control — temperature, humidity, ventilation and shade screens open and close automatically against set thresholds
• Smart fertigation — the fertigation system mixes and delivers nutrients to target EC/pH values for each zone
• Weather station — measures radiation, temperature, humidity, wind speed and direction, and rainfall, feeding data into the whole system

Precision Farming

If Smart Farming is the system, Precision Farming is the decision layer inside it: farming on data rather than blanket averages — the right input, in the right place, at the right time, in the right way.

• Measured by place and by time — solution EC/pH, humidity, radiation and temperature are logged separately for each growing zone
• Delivered to actual need — each zone receives exactly the water and nutrients it needs, rather than one setting for the whole greenhouse
• Tuned crop by crop — harvest results feed back as data to refine the next cycle

A green transition only lasts when smallholders and local communities help run it and share the benefits on their own land.
